Ziggy

“Jill has been an absolute life saver in helping Ziggy reduce his reactions to other dogs and in reducing our anxiety while out with him. “

Jill assessed and accurately determined the underlying causes of Ziggy’s reactive behavior and helped us better understand where it comes from. She demonstrates skilled knowledge in and is teaching us how to use leash skills, counter conditioning, praise and calming desensitization techniques.

Since working with Jill, Ziggy has made fast and significant improvements with his social behavior around and near other dogs. I am beyond grateful for having the opportunity to learn from Jill. Our walks and community outings are now manageable and enjoyable, thanks to her expertise.”

Matan

“Jill is a professional with amazing insight into what is driving reactive behaviors.”

She started out by assessing my dog, Matan, then gave me a written summary of her observations and recommendations.  In discussion afterward she explained the behavior theory she utilizes and set goals for me and Matan.  She instructed me in proper leash handling, responding to Matan and how to calm my own fears that he would hurt someone or another animal.

Matan and I will to continue working together and with Jill, but before meeting Jill I believed he would always be a danger. I was beyond frustrated and sad.  Now I have confidence when taking him out. We have even begun deliberately going to areas where he will be more exposed to “scary” stuff.

I can’t recommend Jill enough!

Friday

“Jill Wattles of Paws & Think has done an amazing job with our dog, Friday.”

Friday suffers from extreme thunderstorm anxiety.  Somehow this has increased her sensitivity to her food and water bowls to the point where she would eat only from the hand or the floor and was refusing to drink.

She has greatly improved since working with Jill and we are very hopeful for future progress.  Jill’s methods are so gentle and patient. Nothing is forced. Learning is

Friday loves Jill and has made a new best friend. We cannot thank her enough.
